Result
9 aluminum + 6 coal anomaly zones; critical discovery of 550-650m deep 600×350m aquifer, preventing potential catastrophic water inrush

Project Background

In early 2022, Deep Exploration partnered with Taiyuan University of Technology to conduct comprehensive geological detection of the target mining area. The goal was to simultaneously survey coal resources, associated minerals (bauxite), and hydrogeological conditions within the coal mining zone.

Technical Approach

Comprehensive detection using satellite remote sensing + AI:

  • Simultaneous multi-mineral scanning (coal, aluminum, methane, groundwater)
  • Wide-area coverage of the entire target zone in a single pass
  • Concurrent hydrological risk screening around the active coal mine

Detection Results

Mineral Anomaly Zones
Bauxite 9
Coal 6

⚠️ Critical Risk Discovery

Near the active coal mining face, a large aquifer anomaly zone was discovered:

  • Depth range: 550–650 m
  • Anomaly extent: 600 × 350 m

This discovery helped the mine adjust its extraction plan in time, averting a potential catastrophic water inrush and potentially saving dozens of miners' lives and hundreds of millions of yuan in losses.

Client Value

  • Completed comprehensive multi-mineral detection in a single effort
  • Averted a major safety accident
  • Provided key evidence for safe production and water-hazard prevention
