Recently, Deep Exploration (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Deep Exploration") and the government of the Republic of the Congo (hereinafter "Congo (B)") formally signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Nationwide Mineral Resource Survey Services for the Republic of the Congo. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation across the entire territory of Congo (B) in areas including mineral resource geological survey and exploration, data collection and analysis, development feasibility studies, and technical training, jointly advancing the high-quality development of Congo (B)'s mineral resource survey work.

Strategic Alignment: Technology Going Global to Serve African Mining
Located in Central Africa, Congo (B) is rich in mineral resources, and mining is one of the pillar industries of its national economy. In recent years, the government of Congo (B) has actively promoted the systematic survey and development of mineral resources, using scientific data to underpin national economic planning and industrial strategy.
For Congo (B), the significance of large-scale mineral surveying goes beyond simply taking stock of resources: systematic, authoritative geological data will provide a decision-making basis for mining-area planning, infrastructure layout, and the introduction of foreign investment, and lay the groundwork for subsequent feasibility assessments of mineral development. Deep Exploration had previously carried out government-level project cooperation with Burkina Faso, accumulating rich experience in mineral survey and exploration practice under African geological environments, and its technical capabilities have been recognized and affirmed by local government departments — a key consideration in Congo (B)'s choice to partner with Deep Exploration.
Since establishing a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in 2016, China has remained Congo (B)'s largest trading partner for consecutive years, and the two sides' pragmatic cooperation in the energy and mining sectors has continued to deepen. The signing of this memorandum fits squarely within this broader trend of cooperation.
Cooperation Framework: Five Core Areas
Under the memorandum, the scope of cooperation covers five core areas:
- Nationwide mineral resource geological survey and exploration: conducting systematic mineral resource geological survey and exploration across the entire territory of Congo (B) to take full stock of resource endowments;
- Mineral resource data collection, analysis, and assessment: building a mineral resource database and applying advanced technologies for in-depth data analysis and value assessment;
- Mineral resource development feasibility studies: providing scientific, objective feasibility assessments for the development of priority mining areas;
- Technical training and capacity building: providing systematic training for Congo (B)'s geological and mining technical personnel to support the development of local talent;
- Other cooperation areas jointly determined by both sides: maintaining the openness and flexibility of the cooperation framework.
