In the golden autumn of Tianjin, a grand gathering opened. From September 10 to 12, the 2026 (28th) China Mining Convention was held in Tianjin, bringing together mining elites from around the world to explore new industry trends and new futures for resource cooperation. Deep Exploration (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Deep Exploration") participated throughout the convention, holding in-depth face-to-face talks with H.E. Solen Loifa, Minister of Mining of Papua New Guinea (PNG), and the official PNG delegation, comprehensively reviewing cooperation achievements and aligning future directions.

Meeting at the Convention: New Opportunities for Cooperation

During the convention, the two sides had in-depth exchanges and reached broad consensus on core topics including geological survey coordination, exploration technology upgrading, compliant development implementation, green mine construction, and industrial linkage development.

Kou Fei, General Manager of Deep Exploration, said: sincere thanks for the trust and support of PNG's Ministry of Mining — every step of progress in our cooperation owes much to the efficient assistance of PNG's government departments. PNG mining is at a critical window of opportunity; taking this convention as a new starting point, Deep Exploration will accelerate exploration-license surveying and project implementation, working hand in hand with PNG for mutual benefit and win-win results.

The PNG side also spoke highly of the progress of bilateral cooperation and expressed a clear willingness to continue deepening it. PNG Mining Minister Solen Loifa stated at the meeting: Papua New Guinea welcomes Chinese investors in its mining and exploration sectors. At the same time, he stressed that "win-win among government, people, and investors" is not a dispensable diplomatic nicety, but the key to whether PNG's mining industry can develop steadily in the future.

Mining is the cornerstone supporting the real economy, and the core bond linking China–PNG economic and trade exchange. The two countries enjoy a long-standing friendship and highly complementary resource endowments, providing a broad platform for deep cooperation in mining.

Licenses Landed, Exploration Accelerating

Under the efficient coordination and guidance of PNG's Ministry of Mining, exploration-license implementation has advanced steadily. As of September 2026, Deep Exploration has completed the full registration of 9 copper-gold exploration licenses, with its license portfolio expanding continuously; 3 of the core licenses have completed all official legal hearing procedures, fully meeting the prerequisites for compliant exploration and development.

Next, Deep Exploration will join forces with the senior professional technical team of Shandong Provincial No.1 Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources to deploy to PNG and jointly carry out full-process professional work — field reconnaissance, geological detection, resource exploration, and data analysis — to precisely determine resource reserves and development value of the mining areas.

Complementary Resources, Win-Win Future

From strategic framework building to physical project implementation, the continuous deepening of China–PNG mining cooperation demonstrates the enormous potential of complementary resources and mutual benefit. PNG boasts outstanding mineral endowments and stands at a key stage of optimizing its mining business environment and driving industrial upgrading; China, with a complete mining industry chain and mature exploration and development capabilities, can provide full-chain support for PNG's resource development.

Going forward, Deep Exploration will continue to uphold the principles of scientific development, green growth, mutualistic symbiosis, and long-term win-win cooperation, advancing project implementation to high standards. Together with PNG, it will build a benchmark model of bilateral resource cooperation, turning resource dividends into momentum for industrial development, achieving mutual benefit for enterprises of both countries and shared development dividends for both peoples.
